Four assignments. Two solo, two with a partner.

Each one drops on Friday and is due the following Saturday. The last one feeds straight into your capstone.

Assignment 1 · Week 1 Solo

Clean-to-Dashboard

Clean a raw, messy dataset (500+ rows — duplicates, inconsistent dates, mixed case, blanks), build a Pivot Table + Pivot Chart, apply at least one conditional formatting rule, and package it into a one-sheet dashboard.

Deliverable
One Excel workbook. Graded on data cleanliness, pivot correctness and dashboard readability.
Assignment 2 · Week 2 Solo

5 Questions, 5 Queries

Given a sample database, write 5 SELECT queries answering set business questions — e.g. customers joined after a date, top 10 orders by value, products with no category.

Deliverable
.sql file + result screenshots.
Assignment 3 · Week 3 Peer · pairs of 2

Two Tables, One Story

Given two related tables, write JOIN queries (INNER + at least one OUTER) to answer a combined business question.

Deliverable
One .sql submission per pair + a 2-line note on how the work was split.
Assignment 4 · Week 4 Peer · pairs of 2

Business Report Query

Build one multi-table query combining a subquery, an aggregate + GROUP BY/HAVING, and a JOIN to produce a real report — e.g. monthly revenue by region, flagging above-average performers. Must include CASE WHEN or COALESCE.

Deliverable
One submission per pair. Feeds directly into Saturday's Capstone.
